Description: Wander through Telluride’s most breathtaking fall foliage on this guided hike along trails kissed with gold. We’ll follow a path lined with glowing aspens, learn the stories behind Colorado’s vibrant leaf-peeping season, and explore hidden pockets of fall magic most visitors miss. This is your invitation to walk Telluride’s own “Yellow Brick Road” — a trail painted by nature, guided by a local.

What to expect and how to prepare: Moderate/easy. There is a feeling you get when you walk through the aspens. This Telluride aspen hike is peaceful, calming, and one of the best fall activities Telluride has. Enjoy your time in the fresh air and nature. You’ll need a vehicle to reach this special trailhead location – the exact location will be shared after booking, and trust me, it’s worth the drive. If you do not have a vehicle, text 970-708-0437, and we will consider a hike from town.

What to Bring:

  • Backpack – Keep your essentials handy while staying hands-free.
  • Hiking boots or sturdy shoes – Trails can be rocky and slippery. Good footwear is a must.
  • Water – Hydration is key, especially with the elevation gain. Bring a snack if you need extra energy.
  • Layers – Mountain weather changes fast, so dress in layers and bring a light jacket.
  • Sun protection – A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen will keep you comfortable.
  • Camera or phone – Capture the golden trail of aspens!
  • Trekking poles (optional) – Helpful for stability on inclines, though I don’t use them.
  • A sense of adventure! – The most important thing to bring!
