Check-In Point: Located at the end of the Box Canyon, drive east. Continue past the Pandora Mill site on your left. We will meet at the Idorado Mine parking area at the base of the hike, you can’t miss it. You will need a vehicle to get there from town.

What to expect and how to prepare: This moderate, well-maintained trail starts from the parking lot with an 859-foot elevation gain over 1.2 miles. The path is semi-steep but rewarding, with magical waterfalls and breathtaking views you won’t find anywhere else.
For an easier return, we’ll walk 1 mile down the main road back to the starting point.
What to Bring:
- Backpack – Keep your essentials handy while staying hands-free.
- Hiking boots or sturdy shoes – Trails can be rocky and slippery. Good footwear is a must.
- Water – Hydration is key, especially with the elevation gain. Bring a snack if you need extra energy.
- Layers – Mountain weather changes fast, so dress in layers and bring a light jacket.
- Sun protection – A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen will keep you comfortable.
- Camera or phone – Capture those Instagram-worthy waterfall views!
- Trekking poles (optional) – Helpful for stability on inclines, though I personally don’t use them.
- A sense of adventure! – The most important thing to bring!
